Shipping Update

Hey folks,

I hope the holidays were good to you and yours.

I'm still catching up on a bunch of things from December, including chasing up on shipping. The updates on the shipment in Portland went dark before Christmas and I'm still getting nothing. 

So I've gone ahead and ordered a mini print run for those of you still waiting for Mag of Holding - Frozen Wastelands, which isn't ideal given the cost. But I appreciate that you guys have been beyond patient. We'll just have to take this one on the nose despite how tight things have been with our growth in 2021.

I'm having an issue with the spine file loading with the correct margins/trim lines (even though it's the same spine we printed with before). 

So, waiting on the guys sorting that out before it goes to production.

I've got a guarantee from the printing company that between production and shipping, the order will take 10 working days to reach the warehouse using a different freight company. 

From there it'll take 1 - 3 days to reach addresses in the US.

With my bad luck, the larger print run will probably reach the warehouse at the same time...or sooner.

I'll keep you posted on the progress of this new order.

Shipping Update and Breath of the Feywild

As I mentioned on an update on another project, we didn't intend on launching two campaigns closely together, but the shipocalypse contracted our schedule quite a bit in the last 6 months of the year.

It also doesn't help that some orders with Mag of Holding - Frozen Wastelands added onto them are still waiting.

And we're still chasing.

The shipment goes from Toronto to California. Then it gets shipped around the world. This normally takes 10 days - 2 weeks following the print run...and the print run usually take around 5 days.

The shipment of MoH - Frozen Wastelands has been sitting in Portland for several weeks (this seems to be a weird route to me. Surely, it would have made more sense to go diagonally across the States...). 

Anyway, the shipment DID move from one depot to another on Wednesday (both in Portland), which I'm hoping means the ball is rolling again!

I'll continue to push as hard as I can from this end.

In other news, our print partner has offered a new shipping option which we'll use going forward. We expect this to minimize delays of future shipments.

Another Shipping Update

Hey folks,

Apologies for the lack of updates lately. I've been dealing with a few...curve balls this November.

But what about Mag of Holding deliveries?

Mag of Holding - Pirates & Seafaring is at the warehouse. Folks who ordered this should now have it.

However, if you also added another Mag of Holding, you're probably still waiting....because we're still waiting for Mag of Holding - Frozen Wastelands to deliver.

We ran out of stock of the first print run we did earlier in the year. We ordered a second print run shortly after the Pirates and Seafaring print run. But the shipping delay on this one is still dragging!

I was told two weeks the first time I asked for an update. When it didn't show up, I was told 2 weeks again. And low and behold the latest update I was given? It'll be there in 2 weeks!

I'm not holding my breath at this stage.

Given the shipping climate, there isn't a whole lot we can do except to keep pressing for delivery.

I ask that you please be patient with us as we work through these shipping issues.

We pride ourselves on a quick turn around for these Kickstarters, but the shipocalypse has thrown a spanner in the works on that front.

I'll update you again as soon as I have something more solid to report.

The positive part is as soon as it hits the warehouse, our fulfilment guys get them out right away and they arrive in mailboxes within a few days of that (for US and Canada) and 2 weeks (for Europe and the UK).

Fingers crossed I have good news sooner rather than later.

Mag of Holding - Shipping Update!

I'm all about transparency...when I have it.

So here it goes!

Good news and bad news.

The Bad News 

We ran a reprint of Mag of Holding - Frozen Wastelands.

Actually, we improved it quite a bit. I mean, we've learned a GREAT deal since publishing that book, so it's really a second edition, and anyone who hasn't seen it already is in for a real treat!

The bad news part is that shipping for this has also delayed, which will interest those who added this to their pledge in particular. This shipment is behind Mag of Holding - Pirates and Seafaring. By how long, I do not know yet. 

But you will knows as soon as I know.

The Good News.

The warehouse received delivery of Mag of Holding - Pirates & Seafaring on Thursday. They started prep on Friday and they'll begin sending packages on Monday. 

So, how long will it take copies to arrive? 

I honestly can't say. Normally, folks in the US would receive packages a few days after they leave the warehouse. About a week or so for folks in the UK and further afield.

However, the shipping apocalypse, as Matt Colville likes to call it, means that I can't make any promises (as I learned the hard way with my previous projection). That being said, I'm doing all I can to make sure your stuff arrives sooner rather than later.

I'm eager to progress other projects, but I can't do that until this has been completely fulfilled!

A quick shipping update...

I wanted to post this sooner, but I've been waiting on a response from our shipping company on physical copies of Mag of Holding - Pirates and Seafaring...and they have not exactly been forthcoming with information.

However, it does look like things are progressing, thought be it painstakingly slow.

In our previous update, we mentioned that physical copies would be with folks in 2 weeks...which means folks should have started receiving them already.

This 2 weeks was based on a 10 day estimate provided by the shipping company.

Deliveries were scheduled to arrive at the warehouse (in California) by September 30th, where they would then be forwarded onto you good people in the following week.

We've just discovered, after weeks of chasing, that the delivery has only just arrived at the stop before the warehouse.

Even though it eats into our bottom line, we print these in Canada because it means a much shorter wait for backers. However, it turns out that even freight on the same landmass has been impacted by recent challenges in the supply chain. 

When starting the Kickstarter, I was led to believe that our order would not be impacted, but I added just a little padding in case...considering Mag of Holding - Frozen Wastelands went out in good time. I clearly should have added more.

Once the delivery (currently in CA) hits the warehouse (I'm promised by the weekend), I'm assured that packages will be forwarded immediately.

At the end of the day, the buck stops at my front door.

I apologise for not foreseeing this backlog and managing expectations accordingly!
